"With the Balancing Face Oil, a little goes a long way. All it takes is a couple drops warmed between the palms and patted on the face. Being in the muggy Southeast, I’m wary of oils that sit heavy on the skin for daytime use. But this oil absorbs quickly and leaves my skin neither dry nor greasy— it imparts a gorgeous velvety texture. For nighttime use, I’ll shake up the bottle and apply a few extra drops as a nourishing overnight treatment.
Whenever I find myself impressed with an exfoliant, often adzuki bean powder is one of the primary ingredients. Adzuki bean powder has been used for centuries by Japanese women to polish and brighten skin. Adzuki bean powder is in line with the True Botanicals approach of enlightened exfoliation. This Exfoliating Cleanser (along with their also excellent Exfoliating Moisture Mask, pictured below) is an ideal way to gently exfoliate without upsetting reactive skin."
Adult Acne Duo
"And now we come to my personal exfoliation holy grail. In one of my very first posts, I have written about my love for the Pacific Night Serum with Retinol. Retinol is considered by many to be the ultimate skin-clearing and anti-aging ingredient and the Pacific serum combines it with a host of other powerful anti-agers in a light, beautifully-scented formula. Still, this serum is powerful stuff and sometimes, especially if I used it in winter, I would find it just a bit much for my skin. It’s not that I would experience any irritation, but I did seem to notice that treacherous thinning with prolonged use. So despite loving its effect on my skin, I would sometimes find a bottle of the Retinol Serum unfinished because I felt like I needed to give my skin a break. Imagine my delight then when I learned that True Botanicals was coming out with a sensitive skin version of the serum. Though I was thrilled to try it, I did wonder whether this less potent version will end up being less effective. I shouldn’t have worried: in texture, look, smell and feel this serum is in no way different from its predecessor. Most importantly, it is also no different in its positive effect on my skin. I have faithfully used it every night and I have been getting compliments on my skin practically on a daily basis. At the same time, I have noticed no thinning whatsoever! It also seems to get rid of blemishes and irritations overnight. For fear of sounding like Goldilocks, TNB seems to have struck the perfect balance with this product: not too strong, not too weak, but just right. I am already freaking out about running out: my bottle is nearly gone. Now, I always say that everyone’s skin is different and no product is perfect for everyone, but as far as my skin is concerned, this baby is a clear winner."
Ask HH: Summer Edition
"One of my depleting bottles is my True Botanicals Pacific Exfoliating Cleanser. I wish I knew a decade ago how important cleanser is. I always purchased cheap foamy cleansers and spent my money on creams, when really a cleanser is much more important than a cream. Anyway, now I’m a little older and wiser. This cleanser is so mild yet cleans my skin so well without stripping it. The smell is so refreshing which is a great pick-me-up. I’ve mentioned it in a previous post that I’ve had to tone down on my usage from 3x to once a day so I don’t blow through it in a month! Within seconds of applying my Soothing Gel, I apply 5 drops of True Botanicals Pacific Balancing Oil, morning and night. 1 on my forehead, and 2 drops on each side of my face that gets shared with my neck; 5 drops in total. And no need for added moisturizer afterward unless I’m feeling a bit dehydrated in the morning, which happens sometimes here, in our dry climate. No greasiness, just supple skin. And no insane fragrances – they’ve got nothing to hide"
My Favourites: Beauty
"I’ve always been one of those women who loved the idea of a tinted SPF, but didn’t think I had the skin to pull it off. Now that I’m using green beauty skin care for years, I can finally join the club as I rarely get breakouts. As you know, I’m a huge fan of True Botanicals and I was really amped to try out their Pacific Everyday Sheer Coverage SPF 20. This tinted SPF comes in two shades: Light and Medium. It has a super sheer matte finish and will leave your skin looking more even-toned and matte. This is pretty sheer, so if you’re looking for coverage, you will need more of a foundation than a tint. This tint contains non-nano zinc oxide and it also has antioxidants! This is ideal for the warmer weather coming as you’ll get your SPF, no heavy foundation and no shine"
"Want a gentle and effective retinol? I’ve got you covered. Let’s dive in! This product was new to me: True Botanicals Night Serum with Retinol but I am already a fan. I’ve been wary of using retinol products in the past because they tend to be a little harsh for my sensitive skin but this one is quite gentle and I’ve had no issues with it. In fact, I love it. As you probably know, Retinol is scientifically proven to turn back the clock when it comes to aging. Vitamin A encourages cell turnover and skin repair, used nightly, you will see a difference in age spots, pigmentation and wrinkles. There’s a reason this Night Serum is a bestseller, its made from blending high quality ingredients like retinol, peptides, and oils into a creamy emulsion that sinks into skin soon after application. This serum helps plump fine lines and wrinkles while working to even out the complexion. My skin loves it and I have to be careful not to overdo the application. I’ve been using it for a short time and see a nice change- my skin has a more uniform texture, its brighter and I am hopeful that dark spots with fade thanks to the Retinol."
"Pacific Skincare Exfoliating Cleanser: This gem is my new favorite and I love using it with my Clarisonic in the evening. Made with Manuka honey, and adzuki bean powder which gives it the softer scrubbing application, this cleanser is really gentle and I think would work great for those who want a softer exfoliation on a daily basis. I honestly don’t even bother with cream cleansers anymore, I always go for something that will exfoliate my skin a bit, and this one fits the bill perfectly!"
The Art of Exfoliation
"If you tend to get clogged pores, but don’t want to further aggravate an inflamed complexion, you will love this [Pacific Exfoliating Cleanser]. Along with Adzuki bean powder, which gives a subtle “scrubby” feeling, it contains a patented fungal extract that provides an intense exfoliating effect that you can’t feel. It is gentle enough to use every day."
It's Spring! Are You Exfoliating?
"There is nothing quite like a truly luxurious body oil. Moisturizing your skin in the morning becomes a spa ritual. There are a select few body oils that I consider spa ritual-quality, and this body oil has definitely been added to the list. If you have tried other True Nature Botanical’s products, then you are familiar with their signature scent. A little jasmine, a little tuberose, a little neroli – and a lot of beauty. The scent is feminine and light, and perfect for spring and summer. This body oil uses that same signature scent with some of the highest quality oils you will find in a body oil: camellia (green tea) oil, watermelon seed oil and apricot seed oil. Honestly, this could be used as a facial oil with the quality of oils! It is SO moisturizing too, I need less than a pump for an entire leg. I sometimes go overboard because it smells so divine, and then it is a little greasy on my skin. A little goes a long way though so as long as I only use a bit, my skin is left soft, moisturized and not greasy. I’m highly impressed with this body oil. While I like citrus, some citrus scents can be almost too citrus-y, if you know what I mean. I like oranges, but I don’t necessarily want to walk around smelling like a giant orange! What I love about TNB’s Citrus perfume is that it encapsulates what I love about citrus, the vibrancy and freshness, but without smelling too orange-y. It has a sweet lemon scent to it, which I think helps with the vibrancy of this. There is even a slight floral quality, which I think is what really helps this stand apart from most ‘citrus’ perfumes. I couldn’t put my finger on what flower it was so cheated and looked at the ingredients. I found ylang ylang, which of course is another favorite scent of mine, so it’s a welcome addition! And if you haven’t seen these solid perfumes in person, they are beautiful. They come in a metal case that is truly lovely, and even has a bit of weight to it. It also comes with a pick (and a beautiful one at that!) to remove the perfume once it is gone, so you can refill it with another. The scent stays for quite some time on my skin, I would say a few hours. And because the perfume is in a compact, it’s easy to toss in your purse and take it with you."

"There’s nothing worse than opening your luggage only to discover that the expensive bottle of smell-good you packed spilled all over your clothes. A solid perfume takes care of that problem so that only you — and not your clothes — leave a lasting impression."
6 Style Rules to Look Fly When You Fly
"I am SO thrilled to finally share this review with you all!!! It’s a sophisticated cleanser, but polishes my skin the right way, without stripping my skin of it’s natural oils. The scent is light and earthy, which is exactly what I like. This gem is gentle enough to use twice a day, and I do just that! Ok, I am fricken OBSESSED with this stuff!! This mist is built to seriously help fight the aging process by hydrating with a huge antioxidant boost of green/white tea and sea kelp extracts!! I literally have to stop myself from spraying my face because it feels SO good, I can actually feel the goodness seeping into my skin. This mist is going to keep your skin super hydrated, plump and healthy, which is the key to the anti aging process! My annoying under-the-skin bumps have disappeared and my skin is plumper, softer, smoother, brighter with an amazing healthy glow! Even my hubby noticed my clearer skin and the fact that I have been wearing less makeup because of it! If I could recommend one skincare product this [Pacific Balancing Face Oil] would be it."
The Non-Toxic Answer to Acne and Aging
"It’s that time of year… When it comes to tinted moisturizer + SPF, there is a handful of Clean* choices out there. To me, most of them seem more like “beach day” sunscreens; they just feel a little too thick and heavy for daily use, especially when applied over other skincare products and under makeup. I finally found a tinted moisturizer with SPF that I actually want to wear daily, and not surprisingly, it is made by one of my absolute favorite skincare lines, Pacific by True Botanicals. I’ve been using it for months and I still can’t get over how much I love it. Pacific Everyday Sheer Coverage SPF 20 is straight-up perfection. I wear it every single day, and I love it’s coverage and finish so much that I even use it under my makeup for evenings out. It’s texture is feather-light and almost watery; it sinks right into the skin and dries to a semi-matte, powdery finish. The coverage is light, (it doesn’t cover up freckles) but this product’s star ingredient, pearl powder, evens out skin tone, minimizes imperfections and generally illuminates the complexion. I also love that I can wear makeup over it without looking like I’m wearing a caked-on mask. Everyday Sheer Coverage SPF 20 comes in Light (which I wear in the Fall/Winter) and Medium (which I wear in the Spring/Summer). I apply Everyday Sheer Coverage SPF 20 after applying Pacific Balancing Face Oil. The combination of these two products seems to moisturize and mattify my complexion simultaneously, which is a dream come true for my combination-oily skin. (If your skin tends to be on the dry side, try using it under Pacific’s original Face Oil. I have readers who are just as happy with that combination.) This product works for all skin types, including those who are blemish or rosacea prone as well as those with very sensitive skin."
Pacific Everyday Sheer Coverage Review
"Textured cleansers: Exfoliating cleansers can sometimes be too granular. Instead, choose superfine grain and sparsely populated textures, coupled with soothing agents, like chamomile and manuka honey, found in True Botanicals Pacific Exfoliating Cleanser. "Exfoliation will be irritating, so look for actives that are anti-inflammatory and soothing to offset any irritation, such as bisabolol, chamomile, green tea, aloe," Macrene confirmed."
"When I feel like I need extra exfoliation in the morning, I switch off the YULI cleanser to use the True Botanicals Pacific Exfoliating Cleanser that incorporates a proprietary mushroom extract to exfoliate, in addition to the slightly grainy texture of adzuki bean powder. It also contains manuka honey powder in it —possibly one of my all-time favorite healing ingredients—and chamomile powder for their anti-inflammatory and skin smoothing abilities."
February and March Favorites
"Ultimately, I have learned that even the most natural, gorgeous and gentle chemical exfoliators do not suit my skin. Because it is naturally thin, dry and delicate, my skin does not cope well with the thinning effects of chemical exfoliators: it may look glowing and softer after the first couple of days of application, but with continued use it begins to look thin, dry, fragile and, worst of all, old. I still use some very gentle chemical exfoliants (Kypris Beauty’s gorgeous and gentle Moonlight Catalyst and True Botanicals Night Serum with Retinol are particular favorites), but I use them sporadically and when my skin feels in particular need of decongesting and/or brightening. I also like to couple these exfoliators with collagen-boosting vitamin C products, such as TNB’s Topical Vitamin C Treatment, which I mix into the Night Serum, or LBF’s Modern Radiance Concentrate to counter the thinning effects of the exfoliators. Ultimately, I discovered that the best approach for my skin is to use physical exfoliants with a gentle touch all over my face, giving a bit more attention to congestion-prone areas like my nose and chin. If your skin is oily, a proper oil will both balance sebum production and keep your skin hydrated. I am not really the target audience for face oils created for oily skin, but I have used and loved Yuli’s ME Skin Fuel and TNB’s new Balancing Face Oil."
Fighting Words and Foundations
"True Botanicals Pacific Body Oil... is truly one of my favorite scents, all-time. It’s a fresh-out-of-the-shower fragrance, it’s light and it absorbs quickly, so it’s idea the upcoming Spring/Summer weather. Key ingredients? Apricot Kernel Oil to plump cells and protect against a loss of moisture, sesame seed oil to heal, reduce flaking and form a protective barrier and Watermelon Seed oil which goes beyond nourishing the skin to even help it eliminate toxins through the skin. Non-greasy, it also helps to retain skin elasticity. Here’s to wishing my bottle will never run out!"
Everything You Need
"I have this thing for all-natural beauty products. If you have sensitive skin like I do, you know it flares up or irritates easily. (So attractive!) So, I play it safe by sticking to more holistic options. Coconut oil? Love it. Avocado on my face? Tried it. It's no surprise then that I fell for True Botanicals. Their skincare products are so gentle and smell amazing, and nothing ever feels like it's burning. Hillary Peterson started the company after surviving thyroid cancer and melanoma because she wanted non-toxic options. She ended up creating a line that is just that, and works so well on all skin types. "
From the Beauty Closet: True Botanicals
"Whenever I try a new product by True Botanicals, I am always beyond impressed with the results; even after just a few days of using it; their Pacific Exfoliating Cleanser is no exception. TNB's unique ability to combine high quality, all natural ingredients with the science behind flawless, healthy skin, has quickly put them at the top of my list for favorite skincare brands! This versatile, gentle cleanser is perfect for all complexion types; especially dry, sensitive and/or blemish prone. It has a light, fresh, citrus-like scent that I absolutely love. One of my favorite things about this cleanser, is that it doesn't foam while you're using it. Most cleansers use harsh surfactants or sudsing agents that can actually "over-cleanse" your skin; resulting in irritation, or an imbalance in your complexion's natural sebaceous oil production. Your skin naturally produces oil as an environmental protective barrier... when that oil is overly-cleansed away by harsh ingredients, your complexion is either left feeling dry and irritated, or an excess of oil is produced in attempt to compensate for what has been removed too quickly, which can cause breakouts and clogged pores. So what's in this cleanser that makes it so amazing? TNB's patented mushroom extract, combined with a super gentle skin polishing scrub... The results? Clean, soft, fresh feeling skin that looks radiant, balanced and smooth! Like all of TNB's products, this cleanser contains absolutely zero harmful ingredients: No toxic preservatives, fragrances, harsh detergents or sudsing agents, or drying anti-microbials (such as alcohol). I highly recommend this cleanser; especially to my clients who have sensitive, dry, combination, blemish-prone, or aging skin. You can purchase the Pacific Exfoliating Cleanser in a 4oz. frosted glass pump bottle..."
Product Review: Pacific Exfoliating Cleanser
"Thankfully, gone are the days in which we slapped plastic bead-laden pastes on our faces and proceeded to rough skin up as a way of brightening complexions. Now, a gentler route can be taken when exfoliating, thanks to paste masks made with Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids. “Lactic acid can exfoliate and enhance the penetration of moisturizing ingredients,” says Graf. Lactic acid works wonders since it brightens the skin by sweeping away dead skin cells and stimulates cell turnover."
5 Types of Face Masks and How to Use Them
"I use one capsule every 2-3 weeks and get 2 uses out of one capsule. I like using this on nights when I really don't want the feeling of greasy oils and serums on my skin. I mix the capsule with a water based serum or even just toner and apply to skin, it tingles for a few seconds and then everything settles down as the serum sinks in. My skin is left with a matte finish for once and come morning I'm always amazed at how calm angry dark marks appear and how bright my complexion looks, if only until I wash my face ha! I read somewhere a few days ago that vitamin C actually prevents scars from being so severe or forming all together (I can't remember the exact details) so I will try and remember to keep up regular treatments of this. "
Scar Fading Skincare
"That meant that when we arrived at the mountain and had to jump out of the car and pray that Frida didn’t start fussing because we were way too close to the freeway to let her out of the car, I had no time to apply anything besides True Botanicals Pacific Everyday Sheer Coverage with SPF 20. I didn’t even realize it until after we got back in the car and I said oh my god I wasn’t wearing any makeup for those photos and the husband said, “You look great!” and of course he had to say that but I think he meant it. And then I saw the photo and I was like wow my face looks kind of tan and smooth and I remembered how lovely the stuff felt when I applied it earlier and I knew then it was my one true love makeup. PLUS, not only does it contain pearl powder for strategic light reflection, but it also doesn’t have any nasty stuff (parabens, et al), it’s SPF 20, it feels super light on the skin and has tons of antioxidants and other high-quality ingredients. I actually published an interview on Forbes about the founder, Hillary Peterson, who created True Botanicals after a bout with thyroid cancer; check it out here."
"My mother and I are sharing this. She needed a serum (I have many) and wanted her to try something with Retinol since it's so great for anti-aging and skin texture. She's been using this religiously for over a month now and raves, ""I love it!"" I saw her last week for Chinese New Year and her skin looks amazing. Her pores look tighter, skin texture softer and she has a nice healthy glow. The Pacific Night Serum has definitely done a great job at making my momma look gooood. I really love this serum because it isn't oily- like a lot of clean ""serums"" are these days. I mean, I love my oils, but I'm old school- I like my serums to feel like....serums. This product sinks into your skin in a snap and I'm serious when I say, this is powerful stuff. It's gentle enough that it won't make your face turn red or peel, but it does contain retinol so be prepared to see a real difference after just a few uses. In my mother's case, after just a month- she's now the poster child for 60 is the new 40!"
"- Bring your good stuff with you. I love my skincare routine. The process of getting ready for bed is one I’ve kept sacred for years. In addition to face wash and night cream, I’ve been bringing Pacific products with me. I’m obsessed with their lip treatment (perfect for combatting airplane dryness), night serum, and topical treatment."
Life in a Bag
"As the founder of True Botanicals, Hillary Peterson spends her days sourcing lavender essential oils and foods-turned-skin-care ingredients like green tea and aloe vera for her non-toxic fragrances and Pacific skin-care line, which she launched while CEO of Marie Veronique Organics. So, it’s no surprise that her go-to green juice blend has beauty-boosting benefits. “I often find myself making smoothies with ingredients that we use in our skin-care products,” says Peterson. “Vitamins like C and E are key to combating free radicals, and E in particular provides extra moisture,” she explains. “Bottom line: our skin, like our bodies, needs a broad range of essential fatty acids, vitamins, and lots of antioxidants.” Which is why Peterson fills her green juice with kiwi and hemp seeds, which are loaded with vitamins and essential fatty acids, respectively—plus greens from her own garden in Mill Valley, California. Think of it as a smoothie, that’s also secretly a facial."
Green Juice Recipe That's Also a Facial
"I already love the fabulous Pacific Face Oil from True Botanicals so I wanted to see what the new Pacific Balancing Face Oil ($110) is all about. It's designed for folks with adult acne but I find that it's also a great facial oil alternative for those with normal skin. Helichrysum and black cumin seed are the major players here; helichrysum fights infection and accelerates scar healing while black cumin calms blemishes. Hemp, pumpkin, grape seed, avocado and sunflower oils work together to balance sebum production. Like the Pacific Face Oil, this one contains marine antioxidants to protect and replenish the top dermal layers. It's light and absorbs easily. My blemishes look less angry whenever I use it and it helped clear up acne patches within several days. Even when I don't have a major breakout I apply it as a maintenance ritual to prevent future ones, or I use it as a spot treatment when I see the onset of a pimple."
Pacific Balancing Face Oil Review
"It is well documented how much I adore the True Botanicals Face Oil, and so it should come as no surprise to you that I am also obsessed with their latest release, the Balancing Face Oil. It is everything my problem skin looks for in a facial oil; light and easily absorbed, healing and blemish-busting. I have only used this a handful of times, but I already know this is something seriously special for problem skin. Stay tuned."
Five Faves Friday
"Just a quick story…and confession: I “over mask”. Yes, I admit it, I mask waaay too much and not too long ago, my skin had absolutely had it. It was ruddy, I had a few breakouts (usually never do) and it just looked dry and tired. So, I decided to take a break from masking even though I still had so many masks to test. At that time, the next products up for review were the True Nature Botanical’s Moisture Duet and their Pacific Mist. After about two days, I could see my skin was no longer ruddy, it was moisturized and my breakouts were healing. So, take that as you will, but it really was a true test for me as I hadn’t had skin in that state since I was using conventional products!"
Delivers Superior Skin!
"As I told you yesterday, after almost three years of struggling with out-of-nowhere-adult-acne, I am SO excited to share with you the skincare line that has given me my face back. Pacific by True Botanicals combines the most prized ingredients from land and sea with safe, cutting-edge technology to create the most effective skincare line I’ve used to date. My acne is gone. My spots are fading. My pores are shrinking. My fine lines are softening. Today, my dermatologist commented on my improved complexion and asked me what I was using (!)"
Move Over Le Mer: Pacific is the Real Deal
"As a company that “spares no expense”, True Botanicals ensures each product is full of the necessary ingredients to help correct and perfect any skin type. Their Pacific Exfoliating Moisture Mask, which is part of our Spring Skin Kit Giveaway, is the perfect example of their dedication and commitment creating a unique and healthy skin care line. "
A Kind Brand: True Botanicals
"At its base it's velvety and sensual, evoking thoughts of sun-warmed flower buds on citrus trees. Amidst the softness, though, is a swirling, lemony zing that gently cuts through the creaminess. It melts into the skin quickly, allowing the complexity of the natural fragrance to really show itself. I'm also a fan of the vessel, a purse-approved compact that has a nice weight to it."
9 Citrus Infused Beauty Products
"To emerge from winter and make your skin bloom, apply this moisturizing mask twice a week, leaving it on for only about 5 minutes. Activated by lactic acid to gently exfoliate and luscious mango and avocado butters to hydrate, this mask delivers on its mission. As a bonus, the top ingredient is certified organic green and white tea extract, superpower antioxidants that bring out your healthiest spring glow."
A Kind Eye for Spring
"I've been looking at my facial oils and studying their ingredients and surprise surprise my favourite oils and the ones I notice actually help my skin are the ones that contain linoleic acid rich oils in higher quantities than oleic oils. Only further solidifying my belief that I'm on the right track for helping my skin with specific oils and cutting out others."
Oleic or Linoleic: Pacific Balancing Face Oil Review
"This is such a unique product and I don't know of anything similar. The vitamin C comes fresh in powder form in individual capsules to stay potent for as long as possible, along with vitamin C there is ferulic acid and licorice root. You mix the white powder with a water based serum and apply to skin, I find the powder absorbs a lot of liquid and so I use a mix of serum and a toner. The mixture dries almost instantly on contact with the skin and there's a warming sensation for a few seconds before you can't tell it's there. I like the matte finish as it makes a difference from going to bed with a greasy face from my facial oils for a change ha!"
Pacific Topical Vitamin C Treatment Review
"Made with 92% organic ingredients, the thin gel-like formula [of Pacific Exfoliating Cleanser] is so gentle I could barely detect the mild grainy texture of adzuki bean powder. My face feels baby soft and hydrated each time I use it. The rose geranium scent adds a luxurious element, making cleansing a pleasurable experience. I can honestly say this is one of the best cleansers I've used that won't cause dry, tight or blotchy skin."
Pacific Exfoliating Cleanser Review
"Oh and every other night, I switch up my moisturizer, using ARCONA’s The Gentle Solution (the product I’d say has done the most to change my skin) and True Botanicals’ Pacific Night Serum with Retinol (just on my forehead + neck) instead, as an overnight anti-aging and exfoliation treatment"
Nicole's Morning Skin and Hair Routine
"In a sea of celebrity perfumes and generic scents, it’s refreshing to see a fragrance brand that’s truly all about being fresh and unique – and completely toxin free. Blasting the myth that natural can’t also be luxe... What makes the scents special is the stunningly luxe packaging. Each solid perfume is housed in sturdy silver housing; light enough to carry around in your purse, but heavy enough to have a weight to it."
Natural Brand Rethinking Perfume
"We've always found something intriguing about a solid perfume. Is it the toss-it-in-your-bag convenience factor? The ritual of applying fragrance with your fingers? Sure, that's part of it. But in the case of True Botanicals, the real allure is where it should be: the scent itself. The California-based brand has developed a trio of "noble perfumes" in citrus, woods, and floral blends—each of which are made with plant extracts and oils, not synthetic chemicals. This isn't the hippy-dippy patchouli-drenched solid perfume of the '70s, though. The scents are more sophisticated, having been developed by a mystery perfumer who's said to be one of the world's best noses. (We sniffed around to track down his or her identity, and if our hunch is right, this perfumer truly is world-renowned). The perfumes are sold in a luxuriously weighty (and refillable) compact, and they're available only online. We're fans of Noble Floral, a pretty bouquet of rose, jasmine, and tuberose—but we think it's wise to order some free samples and decide which you like best. "
Three Natural Perfumes That Are Totally Solid
"This year True Botanicals is getting a packaging makeover, but inside the same great organic skin care formulas thrive. The new Exfoliating Cleanser is powered by a mushroom extract that is outshining some of the top at-home exfoliating acids. The milky product has a gritty texture that sloughs off dead skin without leaving you red from irritation. —Jessica Cruel, assistant editor"
Best Beauty Products for January
"If you read my blog, the fact that True Botanicals Pacific Lip Treatment is on here should be no surprise. I can’t stop raving and gushing about this because it’s the best lip product I have ever used and that’s all there is to it. If you have dry or chapped lips – try this. Just do it."
Best Beauty Products of 2014
"I have never hidden my love for True Botanicals. Well now I have two more products to add to my I Love TNB list. The Pacific Face Oil has been wonderful in keeping my skin soft and smooth lately – even my cheeks which can turn into a dry patchy mess in the winter are super soft. Another product I’ve been using is their Pacific Mist. While the Face Oil is more herbal, this is like a fresh and beautiful bouquet of jasmine and neroli. I can’t get enough of this scent. "
Winter Dry Skin Saviors
"These luscious fragrances are not only made with the cleanest of ingredients, they happen to come in a luxurious compact which fits right in the palm of my hand. The expert blend of botanical oils creates fragrances which are both elegant and modern, in a convenient solid form."
Solid Perfume by True Botanicals
"Shahzada and Tanno both suggest setting the look with a mist spray. We figure, what better way to do it than with a formula that delivers an oceanic scent? True Botanicals Pacific Face Mist, which is made with sea fennel and sea kelp, not only sets the dewy look but deliciously channels summer nights by the surf. Because if you’re going to convincingly carry a just-from-the-tropics aire, the best place to start is with yourself."
Winter Skin Care Tip
"key items that I haven’t been able to live without. All of these items I’ve used, and most importantly, they were recommended to me by close girlfriends that have little kids."
Gift Guide: For the Mom-To-Be
"I enjoy fall weather for the most part, but I am continually frustrated by indoor heaters drying out my skin. To replenish optimum moisture levels I usually rely on the Pacific Face Serum from True Botanicals. So far it has done a fantastic job of keeping perpetual dehydration at bay. It restores moisture immediately and maintains it throughout most of the day. When I use it at night I always wake up to plump, silky skin. And, the star jasmine fragrance smells fabulous!"
Pacific Face Serum Review
"True Botanicals is a new company that's making an impact with a gorgeous line of solid perfumes. These products are far from your typical natural fragrance; the line was formulated by highly experienced perfumers at one of the oldest and most respected fragrance houses in France. The scents are completely natural and composed of “noble materials” — the most pure and precious ingredients that can be found. I received samples of the three scents they offer in the mail, and pretty much instantly fell for the Noble Citrus Solid Perfume. It's unlike any natural fragrance I've smelled before."
Noble Citrus Solid Perfume Review
"Recently released, these beautiful solid perfumes from True Botanicals come in thee most beautiful modern & eco cases which are refillable. With scents Noble Citrus, Noble Floral and Noble Woods (I have it and love it) they have a scent for every taste. These solids last a lot longer than other non-toxic perfumes and will really make a very luxe and beautiful gift. It’s also a fantastic way to get that friend of yours who is still wearing conventional fragrance into the glory that is green beauty. Oh, and my boyfriend said, 'That smells great, you should wear it all the time.' Done!"
Green Beauty Gifts
"I tend to lean towards woodsy florals, or smokey florals, or something dark or rich to balance out the brightness and sometimes almost astringent quality of the typical floral fragrance. But Noble Floral changed all that. This is a straight floral and it is absolutely beautiful. And that is what sets this floral perfume apart from so many other floral perfumes I have smelled before. It’s the quality of the oils. This floral is bright, sweet and rich all at the same time. I love it."
Favorites from the World of Fragrance
"No longer an item just your granny would use, solid perfume is back. The compact alone is beautiful and feels so high quality, and there are three scents to choose from: Noble Citrus, Noble Woods & Noble Floral. The scents are of course all natural without the typical toxins hidden in your bottles of expensive perfume and last hours on the skin. Perfect for keeping on your dressing table or stashing in your handbag."

"So, when was the last time you looked glamorous applying your perfume? (If you spray a cloud of it into the air and walk through it, the answer is never. Okay, fine, I’m guilty of it, too) The solid perfumes from True Botanicals bring to mind a bygone era of elegance and sophistication, but honestly, they couldn’t be more modern. The compacts are gorgeous and weighty – chintzy lip balm tins they are not – and they are refillable, which is always a plus in my book. A compact of solid perfume is also incredibly easy to travel with whether you’re packing it into a carry-on or an evening clutch."
Making Scents: Solid Perfume Review
"It’s clear that every detail matters with True Botanicals, and you need only hold one of their solid perfumes in your hand to know. The solid perfumes are the first new release from True Botanicals since the company split from Marie Veronique Organics, taking the Pacific line with it. Expect delightful things from this original debut. Housed in gorgeous refillable packaging, True Botanicals solid perfumes slip into any clutch or pocket for a discreet application wherever you are. Just swirl your index finger in the perfume to warm the solid a bit and then dab dab dab..."
Solid Perfume Review
"I definitely would recommend this to any of my clients. The high quality ingredients, easy application and overall chicness have made it one of my favorite, must-carry beauty products! The Noble Citrus solid perfume features primary notes of Bergamot, Orris, and Cypress. The scent’s description on the website is refreshingly accurate… "stroll through a perfect Pacific orange grove surrounded by fragrant cypress trees, twisted and tangled by the cool western winds." -- Kelley Farlow
Noble Citrus Solid Perfume Review
"This creamy textured product is easy to apply and feels weightless on your skin. With its broad-spectrum UV protection, powerful antioxidants and non-nano zinc oxide, your complexion is left with a natural looking, sheer finish, while also getting protection and TLC! I love this because it is perfect for a vast range of complexion types. Whether you have sensitive or dry skin like I do, or a complexion that is prone to rosacea or blemishes, this is an incredibly effective yet mild product, gentle enough for every day wear. Not only does it protect and nourish your skin, but it creates a smooth, sheer matte finish that looks radiant and fresh." -- Kelley Farlow
Pacific Everyday Sheer Coverage Review
"Masks are obviously a key step in keeping your skin in tip-top condition, whether it's to detox, nourish or brighten. The Pacific Exfoliating Moisture Mask is a two-in-one as it exfoliates with lactic acid while nourishing and plumping skin from mango and avocado butters. The thick gel mask applies easily and after just 5 minutes skin is revived and glowing once more. Lactic Acid is far less irritating on the skin than other AHA's and is a natural humectant, meaning it draws moisture to the skin. It is also incredibly effective at fading pigmentation making this mask a great option if you have scarring and dark spots."
Fading Acne Scars... Naturally
"I have an aversion to strong fragrances, but this solid perfume from True Botanicals is my new vacation favorite. I typically turn to scented body spritzes for fragrances, and this compact melts down into a sweet-smelling oil. The result is an aroma that doesn't overpower you. My top pick is the Noble Citrus ($95) with natural notes of bergamot, orris, and cypress." -- JC
True Botanicals Solid Perfume
"The solid perfumes are super luxe. The chic metal containers are presented in a cardboard outer box. They are perfect for popping in your make up bag, handbag or pocket for truly gorgeous natural scent on the go. Noble Floral* is one of the most luxurious perfumes I've ever owned. I love how it smells on my skin. It initially smells quite heady with the notes of Rose, Jasmine and Tuberose mellowing to a lighter and softer floral scent on my skin. I simply love it." -- Beauty Balm Blog
True Botanicals: Noble Floral Solid Perfume
"This mask is fairly unusual in the green beauty world: containing a pretty high concentration of lactic acid in a base of nourishing butters, this is a peach-colored, thick gel formula that has the soft smell of tuberose and star jasmine that I have come to associate with all of the Pacific products (and which I simply adore). The mask provides gentle, yet effective exfoliation, while the glycerin and natural butters in the formula prevent irritation and stripping of the skin. Another great thing about this mask is that you only need to apply it for 2 to 5 minutes, which means that unless you are either incredibly lazy (like me) or incredibly busy (like me), you can easily find the time to use it the recommended couple of times a week." -- The Hermes Hippie
My Evening Routine (with Home Spa Bonus)
"I rarely get hooked on a perfume, but when I heard that True Botanicals (formerly partnered with Marie Veronique Organics) launched three solid perfumes (yes, I meant to say solid), my nose got immediately interested. First, it is a solid perfume. How convenient is that? I carry it in my purse with no issues and can re-apply it if needed (definitely flight-friendly). Second, they all smell incredible and I had the hardest time choosing one. I ended up picking Noble Woods*, whose primary notes include Vetiver, Amber, and Labdanum. Lastly, the packaging is stunning." -- Lilly, Genuine Glow
Weekend Catch-Up #8
"This perfume smells so good, I literally want to bathe in it. With notes of Rose, Jasmine, and Tuberose, its very feminine but not overly sweet. It’s a whisper of delicate florals. No water, fillers or toxins, this solid perfume is made with the best of nature, nothing harmful. Its very portable, carry it with you for touch ups throughout the day." -- Hello Doll Face

Noble Woods Solid Perfume by True Botanicals
"True Botanicals is practically obsessed with educating their customer and providing the very best possible ingredients in their products. Actually, what they do is more of an art form than anything else. Hillary treated me to sniffs of each individual noble material and it really opened my eyes (nose?) to how off target my perception of certain fragrances are because of mass production. For example, I typically don’t like rose because I feel it’s too powdery and granny. However when I smelled the noble version, I was awestruck by how lovely and fresh the fragrance was. We spent some time chatting about some concerns I’ve had about my skin lately and she walked me through a personalized regimen to help get my complexion back on track. I’ve been doing it for about 2 weeks and I’m really started to see results — these guys know their stuff." -- Jojotastic
True Botanicals Solid Perfumes
"For a quick glow and to banish any flaky or dull skin, I apply my holy-grail, must–have Pacific Exfoliating Moisture mask to dry skin for 5 minutes and rinse. The lactic acid eats away at dead skin and clogged pores without irritating and the avocado and mango butters douse skin in moisture and leaves your skin feeling baby smooth." -- Sarah Weir
Pacific Exfoliating Moisture Mask Product Review

Pacific Lip Treatment Product Review
"I had never applied a solid scent before and was fascinated by how easily it warmed up beneath my swirling finger tip and smoothed onto the pulse points on my wrists and neck. Unlike liquid perfumes that create a fallout zone when sprayed, the solid allowed for a controlled application, creating a delicate hint of smell where applied. Best of all, the beautiful compact tucked easily into my purse, so I could tote it with me and reapply throughout the day. It’s safe to say that I’ve found a scent for the next phase of life!" -- Maggie, The Editorialite

My Current Obsession
"What I am also in love with is the consistency of [Pacific Everyday Sheer Coverage]. It is so light and one pump spreads easily over the whole face and neck. I also do not need any powder after application. The coverage is that great but totally natural! I am even using this in the evening when I go out. That’s how good my skin looks when I apply it... I use [Pacific Face Oil] under the sheer coverage and in larger quantities at night. It does not clog my pores and has actually helped heal a recent break out." -- Vanessa, Rejuvanessance
Rejuvanessance Reviews Pacific ESC and Pacific Face Oil

7 Scents for People Who Hate Wearing Perfume
"Pacific Everyday Sheer Coverage SPF 20 offers excellent broad-spectrum coverage via safe, nontoxic ingredients. It contains calcium carbonate and conchiolin which create a barely-there pearl luster, leaving a subtly luminous finish on the skin. And thankfully, for makeup-wearers, it works well under makeup." -- Jacqueline, The Beauty Proof
Pacific Everyday Sheer Coverage, SPF 20
"this new line of all-natural, creamy perfume balms is designed for travel (they won’t spill or break in your bag). Each of the three herbaceous scents is designed to evoke a specific Californian locale, like acypress-and-citrus grove on the Pacific coast." -- M. Elizabeth Sheldon, Food and Wine

Pacific Skin Care Review
"Calling this a lip balm just isn’t right, as it’s definitely a treatment for the lips. If you’re a lip balm addict or want subtly plumper lips, you’re going to love TNB's anti-aging Pacific Lip Treatment. Their trademarked TNB LipPlump helps to maintain lip fullness. This is so wonderful to wear due to the fact that it’s so soothing, moisturizing and the scent is so light and pretty! I keep this next to my bed and use it both on my lips and also on my cuticles...I love multi-functional products!" -- Katie
"[Pacific Lip Treatment] ...packed with jojoba, castor oil, beeswax, and shea butter, it features their proprietary TNB LipPlump, a blend of peptides and humectants to support collagen production and increase epidermal water content. The delicate lip area doesn't produce sebum so the jojoba adds extra protection from the elements. Emollient but not heavy, you can apply a thin layer before using lipstick. I like to slather it on before jumping in the shower to let the steam penetrate it further. Use it day and night and you'll soon recover your plump, youthful pout. In fact, after a week, my lips have almost recovered its suppleness." -- Tami Yu, Fete a Fete
"[True Botanicals] takes a more natural approach—employing a combo of lactic acid, avocado butter, and astaxanthin (a red pond algae hailing from Hawaii that is said to be the most powerful antioxidant on the planet) in its Pacific Exfoliating Moisture Mask. This jasmine-scented gel formula, left on for two to five minutes depending on your skin’s sensitivity, leaves the complexion smooth and hydrated—not stripped or red." -- Style.com Beauty Counter
"[Pacific Face Oil] will drastically help your complexion, slow signs of aging, and give you a gorgeous glow."
